Who am I
I am by profession a (mostly retired now) cybersecurity professional. I created this site mostly for myself. I sincerely hope that others can find some value in something here, but that’s really secondary to this being a place where I can leave notes to myself. There are primarily three categories of things here:
- solutions to technical problems I’ve worked through
- thoughts on public policy that are often less full solutions than improvements on the current state of affairs, and
- random stuff that is usually culture or entertainment You may not agree with things written here. If you believe you have an improvement either substantive or grammatical that I’ve written about here feel free to suggest the improvement as described below. I may not agree with you—and you are free to publish your own words on your own site. You shouldn’t expect that all suggested updates will result in a change here. If you suggest a change and I agree it is an improvement I will change it.
Content will change over time as solutions improve, evolve, or are found to be suboptimal. So don’t depend on something staying here forever.
Policy Article Notes
Often improvements for public policy ills are blocked by entities that find the existing dysfunctional systems benefit them at the expense of the broader society. Consequently, often what is most needed is not naming the solution, but the political will to implement it. I hope to some tiny extent articles here can increase the political pressure for positive change. If you desire policy solutions you see here, press your political representatives to make it happen and pay attention when you vote to which candidates are actually working to make positive solutions happen.
